Do you ever get in a shopping rut??  I know I sure do!  I’ll go to the same places over and over again and forget about other stores with similar products.  For home décor, I’ve been on a Hobby Lobby or Pier 1 rotation lately.  Then, a few weeks ago, I was meeting a friend and had some extra time to spare (I know what you are thinking, “Wow, that’s a very RARE occurrence for Loree”).  I was close to a Kirkland’s and decided to run in to look for items for happy giveaways (which may or may not have caused me to end up being late)!

Before I share about the cute items I found recently, I need to tell you about the Kirkland’s App called “Spin to Win”.  My friend, Jaymie, told me about the app a year or two ago.   I downloaded it on my iPhone, but had a lot of issues trying to use it.  It never seemed to work, so I got frustrated and quit trying (probably part of the reason I stopped going there for a little while?).  I eventually deleted it from my phone.  Recently, I went to Kirkland’s with Jaymie and she asked me why I wasn’t using the app.  I told her that it never worked properly for me, so she talked me into downloading it from my iCloud and giving it another try.  Of course, it magically worked for me that day!  I got a $10 off a $50 purchase (Jaymie got a 15% off her purchase).  Just to test it again, I tried it while I was writing this post.  It worked without any issues (I got the $10 off a $50 purchase again).  I would say maybe it was “user-error”, but I noticed it only has 9 reviews with an overall rating of 3/5 stars in the App Store.  So, I’m assuming I’m not the only one that had issues with the app.

A few things to point out…you can only spin once per day.  After you spin, it saves your coupon in the app.  The coupon is good for one day (the day you spin) and for in-store purchases only.

Just like most stores, Kirkland’s has a Rewards Program.  I’m not going to bore you with any details (plus I don’t know them off the top of my head).  I will say this though…..I LOVE that they are able to pull up your Rewards account when you check out.  I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I was buying a couple of items and the employee assisting me said that I had a $10 off coupon and asked if I would like to use it.  Check out this receipt!

My total was less than $25, but ended up being $13.91 after she applied the coupon!  Woohoo!!

(Side note:  I was at an office supplies store on Tuesday and could not find my Reward email.  I was SO wishing they could just pull up my rewards right there on the register for me…but they couldn’t.  Good job, Kirkland’s, for making your Rewards Program easy!)

Now for the cute stuff I’ve found lately!  I was looking for a new wreath to go over my stove (I had a Thanksgiving wreath, then a Christmas one, but the hook had been hanging there empty for a while).  I had tried several stores and couldn’t find a Spring wreath that I loved.  While I was in Kirkland’s, I found this pretty Easter sign that looks great there!

I don’t want to post too many pics of all the cute items I’ve found because most of them are for upcoming happy giveaways.  As I mentioned last week, the Heart Happy sign, trinket tray and coffee cup were all from Kirkland’s.  Here’s another  cute trinket tray that I found recently (on clearance, of course).

I’ve bought lots of pretty, bright signs from Kirkland’s lately! These are some of my faves…..

I also found this sign marked down from $16.99 to $10.99.  I haven’t had time to find the perfect spot in the house yet, but I plan to work on that this weekend.

That’s all I have for Kirkland’s!  Let me know if I missed anything.
