My post on Monday got a little long and I didn’t want to just throw this in at the very end of the post.  But I also didn’t want to leave out this VERY important piece of Manda’s Story.  Manda and Aaron were very blessed to have their parents, extended family, circle of friends, church family and an entire community loving on them throughout her cancer battle.  Manda truly appreciated the love and support she and her family received.  She wanted other young mom’s battling cancer to feel that same love and support, as well as share Christ’s love with them.  Manda Strong Foundation was created to continue Manda’s legacy.

Manda Strong Foundation Mission (from the MSF website):

Jesus said “…In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NAS).  Our mission is to help others along their journey of “Faith over Fear” that Manda Maxwell demonstrated during her life long journey fighting cancer.  Your world fighting this deadly disease has been turned upside down.  God loves you and provides his strength daily as we have witnessed in Manda’s life.  One of Manda’s favorite verses is Exodus 15:2 “The Lord is my strength and song…” (NAS).  She claimed this verse fighting her disease every day.  Our purpose is to show we care for you and your family during this most difficult time and to provide support in many areas around  special family events/gifts.

Manda Strong Foundation is just getting started, but we welcome your love, support, and prayers.  You can visit mandastrong.com to read more about the foundation or to make a donation.  We have booked our first official fundraiser, which will be a 5k Race on November 11.  You can go ahead and register here. Please mark your Calendar and plan to be a part of this event!  You can also like the “Manda Strong” Facebook page.  We will post information about the 5k Race and other Upcoming Events, as details become available.

Tuesday evening, friends and family gathered to celebrate Manda’s Earthly Birthday by watching one of her favorite movies.  This wasn’t an official Manda Strong Foundation Event, but Ed (Manda’s dad and MSF President) gave a quick update on Manda Strong Foundation and things to come.

Items donated for Meagan, another young mom battling cancer.

It was such a wonderful night celebrating Manda and hearing Ed talk about her hopes for Manda Strong Foundation.  I’m so honored to be a part of it and hope that you will join us!
